Media in teaching is a
tools which used by teachers during the teaching and learning process. The
types of the teaching media :
a. - Media Audio
This type of audio learning media serves to transmit audio messages from the message source to the message recipient. Audio media is closely related to the sense of hearing. Examples of media such as radios, tape recorders, telephones, language laboratories, and others.
b. - Visual
Media
The
type of visual learning media is media that only relies on the sense of sight.
This type of visual learning media displays the material using a projection
tool or projector that serves to attract attention, clarify the presentation of
ideas, describe facts that might be easy to digest and remember if presented in
a visual form. Types of visual learning media are divided into two, namely
silent visual media and motion visual media.

Silent visual media : Photos, illustrations, flashcards,
selected images and cutouts, frame films, frame films, OHPs, graphics, charts,
diagrams, posters, maps, and so on.
· Motion visual media : Moving projection images such as silent film and so on.
c. - Audio
Visual Media
The
type of audio-visual learning media is a medium that is capable of displaying
sound and images. Audio visual media can be divided into 2, namely silent audio
visual media, and motion audio visual media.

Silent audiovisual media : Silent TV, audio series films, sound
pages, voice books.
· Audio visual motion media : TV films, TV, sound films, sound images, and others.
2. Why
teachers need media in teaching?
Answer :
Because using in
teaching media can attract students' interest in the subject matter provided so
that it can strengthen absorption and students will also find it easier to
understand.
3. What
are the criteria good teaching media?
Answer
:
a. - Practical
and durable : the learning media chosen must be
simple and easy to use,
affordable
and can last a long time and can be used continuously.
b. - In
accordance with the learning objectives : the learning media
used must refer to the cognitive, affective and psychomotor fields which aim to
make the learning media in accordance with the directions and objectives.
c. - Technically
qualified : selection of media to be used must meet certain
technical requirements.
4. Do
you think that teaching media needs to develop? Why?
Answer :
Yes,
because the more developed the media used when teaching, the greater the
attractiveness of students to learn which can minimize student breakthroughs
during the learning process.
